Bill Lynch was appointed in March 2002 to the Pollution Control Hearings Board and Shorelines Hearings Board. Mr. Lynch is a graduate of Purdue University and Gonzaga University School of Law. Before his appointment to the Boards, he was employed as a Senior Staff Counsel with the nonpartisan committee staff in the state House of Representatives. He previously held a similar position with the state Senate where he began working in 1982. His legislative experience includes working on legislation pertaining to water rights, local government, salmon recovery, watershed planning, and environmental issues. As an attorney in the Legislature, Mr. Lynch conducted research, drafted laws, and acted as an advisor to legislators. Mr. Lynch is an active member in the Olympia Host Lions Club and previously served as a board member of the Thurston County Housing Authority for eighteen years, including four years as chair. He grew up in rural Pennsylvania.
