O'Dean Williamson was appointed as an alternate to the Shorelines Hearings Board in early
1992 by the Association of Washington Cities. He presently is retired and serves as the Chairman
of the City of Lacey's Planning Commission. He served 31 years with the U. S. Government, nine
years in Naval Air and the remainder with the U. S. Department of Interior as a Land Law Examiner
for Bureau of Land Management; and Reservation Program Officer and Superintendent for the Bureau
of Indian Affairs. After retirement from Federal service, he served as the first Executive Director
for the Squaxin Indian Tribe, ran for U. S. Congress, State Senate and served on the Aberdeen
City Council and served as Mayor until moving to Lacey.
